I was scared to have you at first baby girl
I didn’t know if your father would want me to have you
but I don’t care what he says I love you with all my heart an
no matter what he says I’ll never let you go I’ll never let you get hurt
I will always be there for you in good times an bad times
baby girl your father left me today because I told him i was’nt going to
let you go I’m so sorry that you will have to grow up with out a father
but remeber I will always be here for you
your kicking alot more latey then usally I can tell your comeing soon
i can’t wait tell that day when i set my eyes on you
I can tell my water broke baby girl i’m so glad your on your way
I’m so happy your coming today
baby girl it hurts but I’ll go throw anything for you
your out your out the doctor smiles at me an cuts your cord
he hands you to me
you stoped crying as soon as he put you in my hands
you opened your eyes an looked into mine an smiled
I smiled back an whispered into your ear
“I told you ill always be there for you baby girl”

“Heart Dressed in Smoke”

Its just been smoke
and blood on my fingertip
the girl with the flower dress like the dream
I woke up in

Are you the spirit
of what is suppose to shelter me
or the light coming through the window
that burns the longing on my skin

She opened her dress
to show me
her heart dressed in smoke
and a red apple still unpeeled

Are you relieved
that you never have to hear
old skeleton songs in my head
spin and spin

She had me singing in my head
to remind me
her heart dressed in smoke
and this apple will never fall from the tree

Are you taking these memories
with a few chapter of my dreams
into the smoke
where your heart can’t be seen

She covered her legs in yellow wolf skin
to show me
her heart dressed in smoke
her heart dressed in smoke
dressed in smoke
outside of the window I sit
and dream
